It is said that 600 years ago, Avandoria was a broad world, rich in knowledge and art. Legends speak of far-away lands, golden cities and skies filled with dragons. What actually happened to isolate the small island continent of Gwaer from the rest of the world is somewhat of a mystery. Some say it was a natural catastophy, some argue that the gods were angered at the arrogance of man, still others believe that abuse of magic was the cause. The latter was the most popularly held believe, and until a few years ago the practice of magic was shunned.

Realm of the Magi (RotM) is a LP/LDMud text-based, real-time dark & magical fantasy themed roleplay game, that  features fully interactive creatures and non-player characters, a driven skill and spellcasting dice-based combat system, an assortment of player-driven classes, the ability to experience 'dragon flight', a unique quest & puzzle reputation system, hundreds of 'soul' feelings and over 5,000+ realms to explore!

Currently we are seeking a large number of world builders and experienced mudlib developers to help us expand from our inital installation of our first main realm of Gwaer -- thus helping to make a difference in our growing dark and magical fantasy game. Knowledge of the LPC programming language is a plus, but not a must -- as we are willing to teach the basics to get you started. We are seeking those that want to expand their creative background in helping to develop one of the most featured LPMuds ever created.

General requirements to be considered:
* At least 13 years old or older -- (Maturity is a MUST)
* Must have a willingness to learn and be patient
* Must have an active character in the game (Even a level 1 is OK)
* Have at least 30 minutes per day to code/build
* Experience or "Willing to Learn" the LPC programming language
* Basic Unix/Linux experience (i.e. ls, ftp, more, ed)

REQUIRED DOWNLOAD:

We look more for quality rather than quantity. Anyone can build 50 rooms in a day. But it takes a real art to make 15 rooms that are so interactive players will spend alot of time browsing through the room description to find its hidden wonders, exits or treasures.

So if you have most or all of the requirements of what we have listed above, we welcome you to come by and create a character. Then check 'help wizzing' for details on how to get an in-game application to apply for one of these several open postions.

Remember, you DON'T have to know the LPC language -- we are willing to teach it!
