Avatar Mud will have it's own booth at an exciting new games convention called Ubercon on Presidents Day weekend 2003. This will give people new to mudding an opportunity to see what a MUD is and a chance to try it out for themselves. Also it will give a chance for Avatarians to meet some of their fellow players and the Immortal Staff. We also look forward to meeting existing mudders who have yet to partake of the Avatar MUD experience.

Ubercon will be run by a variety of professionals and gaming
enthusiasts from the United States, Canada, the Netherlands,
Australia, and England. A large percentage of the Ubercon team are either players or Immortals of Avatar MUD.

As well as the MUD aspect of the convention you will be able to play against friends and foes in the greatest games through one of our LAN workstations or on the newest console systems. You can face off against the top gamers in the region with miniatures, collectable card games, and your favorite tabletop games or journey through other worlds in role-playing adventures, both live-action and tabletop. RPGA players will be pleased to know that there will be RPGA sanctioned scenarios on offer. Take a break from gaming and enjoy stunning art exhibits and see the newest in gaming in the Exhibit Hall.

Our current, amazing guest line up already includes Steve Jackson (of Steve Jackson Games), Phil & Kaja Foglio (of Girl Genius fame), Pete Abrams & Tom Ricket (of Sluggy Freelance) and Greg Costikyan (of Paranoia RPG fame).

Ubercon will also host the World Munchkin championships!
