TinTin++ 1.99.7

It's been a while since my last announcement so here is a summary of some exciting new changes to TinTin++, a console MUD client for Windows, Linux, and OS X.

In version 1.99.1 Perl Compatible Regular Expression support was added. As a result trigger handling looks a lot like zMud's trigger handling now with support for %w %d and %s, with the difference that regular expression support is more deeply embedded in TinTin++. As a consequence there's no need to use \[ \( or \. to escape regex characters. The exact working and how to use full regular expressions is explained in #help action.

In version 1.99.2 the auto mapper was update to support large worlds.

In version 1.99.4 html logging support was added for muds using xterm 256 color codes.

In version 1.99.5 event handling was added for telnet negotiations, allowing users to write scripts for MUDs with custom telnet protocols, like Aardwolf and Achaea.

In version 1.99.6 tab handling was improved, allowing users to tab through matching keywords from the scrollback buffer.

Version 1.99.7 adds support for associative arrays and introduces the #break, #continue, and #return commands which can be used in the #loop, #foreach, #while, and #switch commands. It also introduces the #else and #elseif statements. These changes, particularly associative array support, makes scripting in TinTin++ even more powerful, while remaining straight forward and easy to learn.

TinTin++ also allows running other Linux console programs within itself. Telnet, ssh, ftp, sftp, lynx, and various other console programs can be run with all of TinTin++'s scripting capabilities.
