Re: Scam E-mail Advisory

It's evolving...beyond the reigns of the SPAM in Yahoo!. Onto TMS. Next, onto the world.

Re: Scam E-mail Advisory

Fascinating.
I think it's about ten years since I received the first 'Nigeria e-mail'.
Apparently this scam lives on for ever, and now it's mutated.
Must be the hole in the ozone layer.

Re: Scam E-mail Advisory

It seems like most users online here on TMS at a given time are bogus accounts.

Or Have multiple accounts under 'other' names.

I get these on occassion. Filed them under 'Suspiticous' and enore.

Then there was the one time I applied for a Secret Shopper position, and became involved in a Postal Scam.

What tipped me off was the mailer containing the check had $0.00 in postage. The rest, instructing me to case the check and send the money to a sertain address as a means of checking delivery--was a absolute given.

I never opened the mailer, and had by oldest brother take it to the Post Office. He said the Postal Inspectors who came for it broke every speed limit in town getting to him.

The funny thing is, the guy who tried suckering me kept calling me up on my cell phone asking when I was going to send the check--until I told him the Fed's had it...

I think he soiled himself.
