I would also , of course, reccomend Accursed Lands (info in my signature below) which has utterly no stock to its name. We're totally original.

If it doesn't suit you, I'd also suggest Armegeddon (a MUD) or Otherspace (a really good MUSH).

Heya,

I've been playing muds for a long time as well. I wrote up a recent post about a really interesting mud called Tempus. Its about the collision of different time periods, and the consequences and opportunities that occur when different types of technology mix. Pretty neat stuff. The little post is above this one a few, called "Past meets Future: When Worlds Collide".

Question

What is so bad about stock areas? Seems silly to take stock areas out when instead they can be imrpoved on, or even just left as is. Even if the areas are horrid, they are areas with things to kill and rooms to explore. Lots of non stock areas are great! But I see no reason to discard a mud just because they chose to leave stock areas in for greater variety. :)
