Re: The problem with muds Aka Hello
Can we all attempt to make a better impression on the new MUDders that began this thread and are reading this forum, and maybe move the argument to one of the Admin forums?

Yes. Hopefully, the good information on the thread was helpful to the MUD newbie and to any others who wander upon this thread!

Re: The problem with muds Aka Hello
Wow, apologies for seemingly causing a ruckus!
I just mentioned that I really like AtonementRPI.. I've nothing against fantasy based MUDs, honest As a MUD newbie (but not new to text adventure games/interactive fiction.. know about 'IF adherants' vs the 'old school adventure gamers' all too well, heated discussions erupt from time to time!) I was encouraged by the fact that on the Atonement forums it was mentioned that the experienced MUD players should take the time to make the new players feel welcome. The fact that the response from the experienced players was positive and comments from new players suggested a 'newbie friendly' atmosphere, I found this to be encouraging. When all is said and done, it's about having a fun MUD gaming experience.. and I've been having lots of that! |
