JTrek on myspace

I've noticed that a few MUDs have myspaces, and I would encourage others to do the same. Creating a network of sorts for the gaming/mudding community could help promote MUDs to the general public and boost player bases.

I don't mind if people use MySpace to promote a MUD, but if you use a MySpace page as the official homepage... Not something I like to see. :P

Re: JTrek on myspace

I understand what you mean. The myspace page isn't JTrek's "official homepage", though. Consider it akin to a music page on myspace. While the myspace page might be wholly dedicated to the musician/band/group/whatever, and maybe even operated by the same, it isn't necessarily their "homepage". I wouldn't expect other MUDs to make myspace their "home" either, maybe instead, just use it as a promotional or networking tool- no different from having a banner or link in your sig.

It's just another route to reach out beyond the normal MU* advertising sites, which is great. Glad to have the evil Colin Neidermeyer of OtherSpace infamy as a friend of JTrek
