xanes is on a distinguished road
Hi

I was considering the benfits of moving area and player files into a mySQL database for storage.

Because mySQL's PHP API, it wasn't long before we were thinking about creating p-files on our web-site.

Now, this doesn't REQUIRE mySQL for p-files, because it wouldn't be hard to pump the necessary input directly into the MUD via a simple socket().

I just wondered what kind of experiences people have had with this. My biggest fear is that everyone's gonna want to experiment with this feature leaving a bunch of zombie characters in the DB.

Thoughts?
