Perished Lands is Celebrating its 4th Birthday since we have started developing based on the SMAUG code base. We have lots to offer, but the main theme is a Multi-Genre theme game based on the many different muds and themes we have all played for many years. We have taken into consideration DIKU and SILLY based muds, and ROM. All players from these bases would enjoy our version of SMAUG.

Perished Lands is a World Spanning Across 15 Major Cities, each a designated for many of our 15 races.

All the standard Classes Remort into Multi-Classes so eventually your path takes you on a Journey of Power and Knowledge.

A simple example would be the Mage Class. Choose mage at the Beginning and learn the basics of a Magic User - Finish a Quest at your 250th Level and you will be reborn into a Wizard, repeat the process and Finalize your player as the Most the Powerful ArchMage.

There are 7 different paths. Plus Hardcoded PlayerKill Enviroment allows for both types of Players to Coexist in RP.

Our Head Coder, Klered, Has done something very special with the VAMPIRES that were contained in the original SMAUG codebase. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but essentially this is one class/race you cannot choose. Only Vampires are made, by a master, and if your up to the challenge, you can free yourself of the Vampire's Curse, or live among them, your choice. This unbelievable code addition makes Perished Lands Unique among the many SMAUG Clones so we feel that it is worth mentioning.
