jpeckham is on a distinguished road
wanted: programmer (C#) for a Rifts MUD

Looking for someone willing to pair program a MUD with me.

This is going to be a Rifts (Palladium Books) based or inspired game and must be written with commercial grade quality so that the libraries are decoupled and highly tested for re-use in other presentation formats.

requirements:
Looking for a c# programmer with the ability to think about testing. Someone who can answer "How would I test this?" before they write any code.

Must understand how and why to decouple.

Must have at least a familiarity (seen the code, wrote a hello world style app) with following technologies but not necissarily subject matter expert: WCF, Workflow Foundation, Sockets, SQL (preferably MSSQL), XML/Binary Serialization, Fitnesse, ASP.NET and WatiN.

nice to haves:
Prefer someone who 'gets' agile software development. Experience in XP, Crystal Clear and/or Scrum for example.
prefer someone who has shipped any sort of software product commercially. even dynamic websites.
prefer someone who worked on cross functional teams.
familiarity with MudOS and LPC
familiarity with C++

email me at if you're interested and we'll jump right into it.

At the time of this writing i've created an ansi color based chat system that has user persistance. (authentication) in the past week.

A little about me:
first: check for my blog and resume. That will tell you the most.
I love pen and paper based games but never have the time to play them anymore (getting people together, getting schedules aligned etc).
I love MMOs and FPS games.
I love sport compact cars and turbo chargers.
I hate single player games except a few like GTA:vice city and fable...
