OtherSpace, an evolving text-based sci-fi saga that's been online without significant interruption longer than any similar television show (except perhaps Dr. Who!), welcomes you to a weekend of adventure as we pull out the stops with several story arc-related events.

The game's theme underwent a signficant reboot in January, as some inhabitants of the old 31st Century universe - wracked by disastrous space-time destruction caused by a powerful Kamir - sought refuge beyond the Multiverse Nexus in a realm known as Hiverspace, in the year 2650. Joining them: Several citizens from the kingdom of Fastheld (formerly on our fantasy game, Chiaroscuro) and denizens of 41st Century's OtherSpace: Millennium.

For the past seven months, everyone has been thrown together aboard a sentient starship known as Comorro Station. During that time:

* A ruler known as Zar Hideg Fekretu formed a despotic government called the Koltkamir, based on Aukam, with an eye toward building a massive space defense fleet.
* Medlidikke pirates, brutal and bloodthirsty, have sworn rare allegiance to the Zar. They've made at least one major bold attack on Comorro, wounding and kidnapping Outversers in search of something Fekretu wants to further his goals.
* A Phyrrian warfleet, hurtled through time and space by Kip Caspar in 3008, materialized in a shambles near Comorro.
* Humans from different eras on Earth have been caught in space-time rifts and showed up on Comorro Station. Until the end of the month, new players are welcome to apply as a soldier in the American Revolutionary War, a citizen of the British city of Coventry (bombed during the Blitz in WWII), and a pilot from Flight 19 (disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle).

What can you do on OtherSpace?

* Roleplay in a space fantasy environment (required and enforced).
* Earn +votes from your fellow players.
* Earn "belts" in RP expertise from the staff.
* Collect badges and medals for your characters. Join this weekend as a new player and get a special badge that's not available to veteran players!
* Craft components, armor, weapons, and gadgets.
* Acquire action cards to boost your character during refereed scenes.
* Get event cards to direct staffers to create special scenarios just for you!

* HSpace 5.0 interstellar flight and exploration.
* Expanded crafting, including starships and higher-level tech weapons and armor.
* Planets as characters.
* OtherSpace Roleplaying Awards.
