Could there please be a board where you can just chatter, perhaps even banter without having to stick to a topic or type of discussion. Where we could chat about everyday things IRL or jokes or ... whatever we wish to (so long as no nasties of course)

I think this would be fun, and would allow me to tease and make fun of my friends ::: smile sweetly :::

Honestly and all kidding aside, this would be a great opportunity for us to actually ... *get* to know each other, the introduction thingy is good for background for those of us not too bashful to post there. However I am sure there are lots of people out there that would be more comfortable posting lil snippets in response to those of us who are not afraid of a lil glare in our eyes, than to simply write out a history that may or may not get read or responded to.

*takes a page from Fyndlehorns book and throw a large garbage can of mysterious blue liquad in the direction of the elders of her game to distract them*

The board that made me start truly knowing my fellow gamers was the OOC board forum on our Dgate boards. I play with some of the wittiest, funnest people on earth and with very few exceptions would never have known it without those boards. I grew to respect and care for a great number of the characters players on that board and think it is an invaluable thing to have available.

Please please seriously consider this.

I agree that this place can be used for chattering at what not. At the same time, I does not interest me to read emotes between people of the same mud for 50 posts. If people want to engage in a discussion with the entire TMS community, that is fine. But, if it is just going to be private jokes and 100s of emotes between people of the same MUD, such things are better left to that mud, instead of here.

I hope this does not sound harsh, for it is not intended to be.

Seth, thanks! I was completely unaware of that.

Mason, no worries, what we like and dont like are different things, I love banter, privately funny or publically funny with folks. I love emoticons, I think it helps express the mood behind the words, that is sometimes a very hard thing to guess in text based things. I love being playful and goofy sometimes, and not taking myself and fellow beings on this journey we laughingly call life, seriously ... I think its important to laugh everyday ... REALLY hard. I'm sure you like these things as well, just dont like them here, or you dont find this type of behavior funny in the least and dont like them and think I'm a nutcase (you'd be right... I'm a nutcase!

I guess that means its a good thing we dont HAVE to read one anothers stuff :b Seriously though, it isnt a big deal, it was just a suggestion.

I suppose I COULD run an IRC deamon on my server, granted it doesn't abuse my internet connection too much...
