Hellas Trinidad is best described as a kind of high fantasy pirates MUD. To go with our unique theme, we are opening up our first class- the Were-hippopotami. Raid the ships of the enemies of Trinidad with your brute strength and powerful swimming abilities. But beware your arch nemesiis- the were-sharks.

I can't decide if this is tongue-in-cheek or not, but I'd totally play a were-hippo!! Gimme my pink tutu!

Valg will become famous soon enough
Amusing side note: Carrion Fields has featured the ability to (willingly, not really were-shifting) shapeshift into hippos for several years. Not exactly the most nimble defender, but a thick hide and big chomps goes a long way, I guess.

Somewhere around the 100th or so full shapeshift, some strange critters crept into the mix.

That's about the weirdest class I have heard of. I will check it out though, since I am really enjoying Aetolia's recently released werebears and werewolves immensely.

Have I said how much I hate April's Fools yet? I'm too gullible!!

If I had a pet were-hippo, I would name it George.

Btw... The problem with April Fools, is that it's different times all over the place. This thread was posted on April 2nd for me, while I'm sure scarecrows posted it on his April 1st.

Strangely enough, it's April 3rd and we still have magi who can learn to transform into hippos. Amphibiousness plus chomping, yo.

Well, I'm glad you actually want to play it I am making the MUD, somewhat slowly, but steadily. It's going to be hosted at www.mudmaker.com and the theme really is high fantasy pirates. No were-hippo class, though I'm considering making it an NPC area with stuff to kill and a quest or two.

Stranger still, even knowing the context this was written in, I somehow managed to scan this as "transform into hippies".

Now that would be a feature.

If you did put were-hippos in as a class I'd play your mud the moment I could and never leave. Toss in a few other were classes; were-cow, were-rooster, were-giraffe. It'd be a great land, indeed!

The Outlanders of Thar-Eris prefer the term "ecologically-conscious guerilla resistance", thankyouverymuch. Just because they operate out of a giant tree, occasionally burn towns and/or their guards, and refuse to use The Man's currency, doesn't mean you're free to stereotype them. I'm sure they smell just fine, to head off your next jab.
