Simplified Scripting in Nexus - the Iron Realms client
We (Iron Realms) just released version 2.7 of Nexus, our html5-based client that's by its nature truly cross-platform - desktop and mobile both.
If you've never used Nexus, its default setup, depending on screen size, is this, but it's easily customized to look like whatever you want, including just a giant output window if that's your thing.
The biggest addition to this version is Simplified Scripting, which is an easy-to-understand way to build fairly powerful trigger, highlighting, etc systems without having to know anything about normal scripting or coding.
For instance, something like this:
Other features in this version include:
We also built (finally) a pretty complete documentation wiki for Nexus and GMCP here: nexus.ironrealms.com
There are some tutorial videos there that quickly walk you through the features of the client, which are pretty extensive, under the 'Tutorial Videos' menu drop-down at the top.
We are trying, hard, to make our MUDs as accessible as possible to true MUD newbies, and think that the addition of Simplified Scripting takes a big step down that path.
Let us know what you think! We work day and night, 24/7 to build the world's best MUDs and the world's best cross-platform MUD client.
