Someone mentioned GW2 above. A word of warning, GW2 is like GW1 in name alone and almost no other aspect. As for a nice, more traditional GW where you can just have fun, I'm not sure if it's still around, but I used to play Vampire Wars (which split into like four MUDs after its lead admin retired, after the split I played the one at http://new.vampire-wars.com/) It's been years now, but it was a totally sweet PK MUD back then, and may still be so. Worth checking out.
