This is a discussion on "New goodies and Forum netiquette" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum : Since we now have these nifty new things, like signatures, profile pictures, avatars, etc, what's acceptable and what's not? I know that in some of the boards it was rude to have a mud address in your sig, so is that still the case? Is swearing allowed in the sigs? What about avatars, do we need a pg-13 rating? (not like I'm going to find anything ,but hey, you never know) Is there going to be some kind of a board wide netiquette about these things? Or is it up to the moderators of the board ... |

Is there going to be some kind of a board wide netiquette about these things? Or is it up to the moderators of the board to decide? With the sigs being store where we can't edit them for each post I'm kind of curious. |

Well now that we have proper sig files (which can be switched off by the viewer) I'm not worried about adverts placed within them as far as the Advanced MUD Concepts forum is concerned. However I will still ask people not to advertise within the body of the message, as before. It might be worth us putting together a list of posting guidelines to propose to Synozeer, particularly now that we have all these new posters.
P.S: It's worth noting that there is a "Do you wish to enable your signature for this post?" tickbox in the options listed above the "Add Reply" button. |
