I am having a seriously difficult time getting into your world, typing list race ... list anything is confusing and not at all easy to follow. I would very much like to try your world so someone please lend a hand?

PS Had wanted to use the name Serrina and it wasnt taken, but then when I messed up the password and it logged me out automatically it wouldnt let me ahve it again ... Poop!

i personally think that paid muds are bad..but hey..good idea for a poll !

i used to pay to play, a mud on a bbs called majormud, its still quite popular, but i would never pay more then 5.00 a month to play it, 30.00 to play a text based game? theres no way i would, even if the mud was the best mud on the net, 5.00 is my limit.

Please stick to the topic at hand. This person was asking for help. Not opinions on pay for play MUDs, or Threshold in particular. A little deviation was ok, but so far there were four posts about pay for play and/or downing Threshold, where as none answered the plea for help.

It may not have been helpful specific to the original problem, but should help her from making a poor choice in mud selection.

Helping her make a MUD selection was not the issue. One or two opinions was fine but everyone is ignoring the basic issue. She made it perfectly clear that she wanted to play Threshold and she needed help.

If you can help her, feel free to address her problem. If you just want to give your opinion of Threshold make another thread that is specifically for that. If you just want to say pay for play MUDs are evil make a thread specifically for that. But, please keep it where it belongs... which is not in this thread.

Can we please quit it with the holocaust references? It is highly and extremely offensive to me, on a very personal level. The poster wanted to know how to get help on a specific mud. She didn't ask which mud to try, she didn't ask what anyone thought of the mud. Y'all didn't even attempt to address her question, and Orion tried to bring the thread back on topic and encourage people to address it. That doesn't make him even remotely anal retentive. It makes him a good moderator.

As for the actual query: When I played Threshold, I didn't have any problems logging on or making a character. As for getting your name back, have you tried recently? Sometimes in some games, it takes a few days for a name to be purged once it's clear that the character behind it no longer exists. It could also be a bug in the system that's keeping the character. You might try logging in and creating a new character with a "throw-away" name, so you can ask the IMMs online for "live" help.

It can be personally offensive to a lot of people. I know it is to me. My grandfather... the German one... fought in World War II for the US and was a prisoner of war for quite a while. So, in that respect Seth you can simply kiss my ass. I'm also of Jewish decent, gotta problem with that also jackass? **EDITOR'S NOTE: Seth's post was removed due to the fact that it was nothing more than racist spam.**

The jackasses posting don't think about the fact that some of us have family that fought in this war. They're more worried about their 'right to spam.' But, we're the inconsiderate ones, right?

My great grandfather got killed in the war, by a bunch of goddamn yank who decided to bomb the wrong side of the railroad. You damned American couldn't aim with dumb bombs in the second World War and as shown in Afghanistan, YOU CANT EVEN AIM LASER GUIDED BOMBS! I don't remember the germans wiping out half my family in the war.

And being nice is so yesterday. I agree the holocaust is bad. There are good Judaen people around too, it's just that Orion isn't one of them. Kinda like my ex only Orion doesn't have a beard I think. Maybe you ought to marry her? I'll call my good friend Yasser Arafat for a few nice targets...

I'd just like to applaud Synozeer and Orion for the great restraint they've shown while dealing with all of this. I for one would not have been nearly so gracious just with the spamming problem alone. And now we get these obviously racist remarks on top of it all? Had this been MY forums, I would not have hesitated to ban the lot of them days ago. So my hat's off to both of you for tolerating it this long without blowing

I can't think of a single MUD that I have played that I would classify as completely unenjoyable to every single person on the planet. Different people look for different things in a MUD, so saying that someone is making a poor choice in a MUD is rather presumptuous. That is why people try out MUDs, not to see if it is a 'good' or 'bad' MUD, but to see if it is a MUD that they would enjoy playing.

I didnt seen it yet..And dont tell me ,Orion_Elder,how can it hurt..Both my Gradnma and Granpa died in frontline,defending our home.This is sad.But hell,if you'll think I wont play Medal of Honor because of that,or cry after I see words World War, then you're wrong.Learn to forget,and learn to forgive..

And,yes..I think its right to say I hate anyone who deserves that,and I dont care,if he's black,white or yellow.Or a Judeo or Jewish or whatever its called.
