I thought it would be nice to start a post on online love stories from people who met on MUDs.

What I'd really like to see is stuff like:
-how you met
-have you met irl
-how far away were you (10 miles - 10,000 miles)
-did it go as far as living together/marriage
-did it work out

Actually, the storytelling section would be more for fictional stories from what I could tell about the description. These would fit perfectly fine here.

Well, many would call us an infamous couple, but Vryce and I met on Medievia in September of 1995.  

At the time, Medievia was a choice off of Netaxs.com's main menu along with pine email and some other things.  So, one day I selected #8 or whatever it was and started playing Medievia. I was playing for about a month when there was a major break in the net and the only 2 people logged on Medievia were Vryce and I because we were both using Netaxs, along with Medievia the machine. So, we spoke briefly, he told me to log off, I came back and that was that.

About a month later I neglected to pay my locker rent. At that time you had to strip down to nothing, put all your eq in a locker and rent a hotel room for the night before logging out.  So, essentially I lost all my eq.  I asked around Med if there was anything that could be done about it. No one seemed optimistic for me.  So I said "Well what if I write to the head owner guy?"  Everyone laughed but that's what I did.  I wrote to him, he restored my character from backup and we started chatting.

We were lucky in that we lived only 45 minutes away from each other in real life.  Otherwise I don't think we really would have gotten as close online.  About a week after we started talking online we talked on the phone and prolly a week or two after that we had our first date.

We have been together ever since and we got married on July 1, 2000.  We are still as happy as ever.

Women should not be treated like dirt by cheating on them. Instead, they should be treated with love and respect, because it's a woman who gave life to you, it's a woman who gave birth to you and it's a woman who put up with 9 months of misery for you. That's why.
