This is a discussion on "Lost of Interst?" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum : I've found that comparing today, and to several months ago, there are hardly any posts going on here in the forums. I remember I could post 10 things a day (minus the games you can play like continuing story and such). This is like my 300th post or something, and I'm like the 10th most person to post. I haven't posted anything really for at least the last 2 months. It's really weird to see only like 2 people have passed me for the most posts (even though it's not a contest), and I haven'... |

I just wonder how many of you are still out there. Most what I am seeing our a bunch of people signing up, posting a review, requesting mortals/immortals, and advertising for their MUDs. They make one or two posts, and they leave. I know these forums serve a purpose in some folders for advertising, but it's a shame to think that the majority of the people here of making minimal posts. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to spark an argument, and anybody who wishes to start one can e-mail me. Has anybody else who has been posting on here for awhile noticed that the posts have kind of slowed down too? |

I know this is a short post, and only one of a couple, if that, but I fully agree that the posting has gotten to slow down a lot since I've first came to TMS.
I'm sure that the board'll pick up in time (we can only hope) Just my 2 cents |

I think as long as I've been here it's been kinda slow. Maybe not in the other forums, but in the advanced ideas one at least, I remember posting things and having it be 3 days before anyone responded. With so many people this place should be a lot busier than it actually is, but I still check it every day after I vote for my mud heh.

I read the forums here almost everyday. However, I dont post unless the subject really interests me and I have something new to add.
We notice about a 30 percent decrease in our average of players online during the summer months. This picks up again in September as folks get back to school. Perhaps this is what TMS is experiencing at this time. |

*waves from here* I'm still here..been busy as #### at work (tourist season we get jammed packed..but lots of OT) but I at least try to log on and look at what's been posted...
..but yea..I remember back when there'd bea at least 30 posts a day..the Tavern had 2 pages of threads, etc..now it's like 1/2 the populace went off to play EverCrack or YouOwe. |

As for the Advanced Forums section, or Coding section, I also have posted and not gotten responses back for weeks. I basically take all coding questions to TMC, where (between all the flames ...) people answer those types of questions faster there. But I still like the (usually) laid back and friendly atmosphere here at TMS! |

See? All you have to do is talk about lack of interst, and people start to get involed! lol
Just another 2 cents (collected interest *bad pun* from the bank) |

Well, consider that thus far I'm the only person to have actually lost an account on these forums, I feel quite proud about what I have achieved in such little time of forum activity! But other then that, nothing that's really interesting. I still enjoy laughing at Duran or Dulan or whatever the heck his nickname is. I was stupid enough to try an online relationship which was destined to fail with a girl who looks more like a guy then most guys do. No, I'm not shallow and judging her on her looks; if I were to judge her on her character she'd be off far, FAR worse. So it's not being shallow, it's being merciful.
Let's see, I learned to code, went to college, worked as an intern, twice. Played games, did stuff, downloaded stuff and largely ignored all the boring threads about legal matters which are boring as heck. Other then that, things have been pretty much dull as heck. |

I don't post often. I usually just come here about once a week and read. Most of the time the things I want to say have already been said, and I'd rather not repeat it.

As fun as that would be... it IS a family MUD... The strip clubs were all removed when we noticed some of the players were mommys

I see that it could make things a WEE bit complex... although a Minotaurian/Dwarven strip bar would be more than enough to cull the strongest of urges, especially after the Ogres come in on the special guest days!
Just had to make this comment... too good to resist... |

Nah..a good strip bar would have 1/2 orc strippers in the front (to scare away the meek and the local guards) and drow, drider and who knows? Maybe a naga or two in the back for the truly hard core.
Besides..a female 1/2 orc stripper in a thong going "Me like to dance. Give gold now or thong go bye bye" will generate more gold than the best looking elf doing a routine. |

I still visit here but I rarely post, mostly because there's a couple people rubbed me up the wrong way. I like to read the posts though. My likes are this forum, builder discussion and reading all the reviews. I read them all. Poor Distant Lands. =p
This place is much better than the mudconnector IMHO. |
