This is a discussion on "I Just Coded In Ruby!" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum :

WHOOOOOHO!!! For the past three years, I've been trying off and on to get C and C++ to work for me, but could never get even "Hello World" to work out quite right. But lo and behold, last night when I was taking a study break I decided to check out this 'Ruby' thing I kept hearing about, and the very first thing I tried worked like a charm! This means that in a few years I should be able to do some coding for my own mud project, which has been in the conceptual design stage for a while now.

Granted right now I'm too busy to do much more than throw up the occasional idea for my mud, but by the time I have time to really seriously code, I should have a pretty damn good world set up.

That's all. Sorry, I just couldn't contain my joy .

Tyche has been working for some time on TeensyMUD which is written in Ruby. It comes complete with hamsters, nipples, farts and other interesting code implementation.

Yeah, my hope is to use that and learn Ruby so that I can expand on it and get some really neat stuff that I want coded in .
