Okay, since we've done about everything else, let's see what race we all prefer... I probably left some out, so sorry if the race you love isn't on there, but that is why we have an Other category. *smile*

I personally prefer playing half-elves, or humans, or elves. And if a feline race is available, I'll usually pick that, or just stick with half-elves...

P.S. - This is based on races in a fantasy setting, so if you like playing weird sci-fi alien things, just pick the race that seems closest, and if all else fails, Other works just fine.

They sound pretty humanish to me... Then again, I suppose nearly every race was derived from your basic human...

When I feel like playing an evil character I almost always go with a drow - there's just something about them...I think the lore around them in fantasy books, etc. is exceptional, their culture, background and so on is quite well known so you have a lot to draw from as well when creating your character. And bottomline, they're just plain nasty (down with good drow!

When I feel like playing a good or neutral-type character I typically will play a dwarf. I don't think dwarves get the recognition they deserve. I think they're often too stereotyped as the gruff, abrasive "meanies". But I remember many years ago reading a Forgotten Realms comic (I think that's what it was) and the dwarf there was gruff but much more "bon vivant" (remember with the centaur fellow?) Anyway, that's often how I enjoy playing a dwarf character - rough and gruff but with a wilder side, maybe even a soft side for certain things, people, etc. I remember once playing on Aarinfel (years ago) - played a somewhat aggressive, but more fun-loving dwarf that had a heavy accent, that was loads of fun. Of course, people thought I was a Jamaican dwarf but that's a different story...

lol, all my chars except for one are some sort of elf (the other one's a pixie, which i think of as basically a little elf with wings, but... *shrug*) and SEA-elves can breathe underwater which i find quite useful, instead of hunting down a spell or something, AND the ability doesn't wear off...... but that's my personal opinion

This was a tough decision. I'm partial to sprite, nymph, drow and feline characters. I also love having my frail little sea elf. And playing a dragon was a blast. How can I choose? *whimper* Alright, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be a feline shapeshifter

Contrary to what I usually play, my favorite races are humans. Their versatility and low mortality rate makes them extremely exciting and mobile.

Most people that play other races don't truly roleplay them correctly anyway, so veering from human often isn't the right path. I mean a dragon sitting in the center of a city talking to people just makes no sense...even if it was a silver dragon.

I like to play Drow, guess reading all those Drizz't books had a toll on me. They're just plain bad.

I find dragons boring *punt Hannah*

I also like playing hyperactive sprites, and puppy dogs.

I guess in general I like being drow or human, because they can be ninja, or fit my ninja stereo type more easily.

If I had a dream race, it'd be a pet kitten. I'd just lick myself all day, terd in someone's house, sleep a lot, get fed, and have people pet me all the time, expected to do nothing more. Wooo!

I usually play shifters with the main form of elves, well except for my half dragon half shifter, otherwise various elven forms of my shifters. though occasionally absolutly anything else will be my base race. Justy got to be shifters

It doesn;'t hurt the the main char I play claims to be god of shapeshifters (is shifter, isn't god)

Ive tried ogres, titans, gnomes dwarves elves illithid.

But the most fun and i must say the one i love being the best it Succubus. Its a power trip. To control People is a wonderful skill. I like the power of control and domination. Along with being like a sex goddess. But thats just me

If I want an evil character, I'll almost always go elf. Normal elf. No drow. Elf. Stop it. NOT A DROW. I guess I like the whole... fallen from grace thing. Falling away from their kindred and home and family, but never quite accepted in the place they fell to.

If I want a fighter, I'm human, all the time. Being a big giant cyclops or a sturdy dwarf is good, but for the psychological thing... I like how you have to WORK to be the best when you're human, how you have no natural advantages, how you couldn't crush skulls when you were two. How more realistic it is... how, if you want to be the best, you have to train, fight, WORK to be the best.

I'm playing... lizardmen more recently. Specifically dragonians, drakes, dragon-men, whatever you call them. I play the occasional full-blooded dragon, but there's something about the dragonians that attracts me. I'm usually a sort of magical fighter with them, too.

If I want what I'm best at, a straight, chaotic-good mind-blasting fireball-casting accidental-demon-summoning caster, I'm a faerie of some sort. Whatever the small winged thing is, I'm it. I like how you can be this little tiny crushable thing but still wield firey death

Anyway, to be serious, gnomes rule. Especially tinker gnomes. Cause they have an excuse to tinker with things. Other than gnomes, I think the races I like to play are nonintelligent animals, such as red squirrels, humans (oops, how'd that get in there?), and turtles. Especially soup turtles.

Usually I go with Mythical races or exotic ones. I've never been a dragon yet *sigh* But that's only because I haven't found a MU* that lets me RP one.
