Well, I spent quite a while working on it... a whole five days, I'll have you know!

Anyway, after that amazingly long amount of time, I finally got Cryptid working.

For those who are wondering, Cryptid is a game bot on the I3 channel word_games. He runs both trivia and chaos games (though not at the same time

).

For those who would like to play, you need to log into a MUD that has I3. If you run your own MUD you need to install I3, if you don't already have it. Once that's done you need to set up the word_games channel. Once you've done that, you're ready to play.

I won once out of five times, so you have to guess that it is both fun and challenging.

Yes, it's quite fun and definitely challenging. A 20 point game lasts for awhile and the variety is diverse enough for anyone to be able to win. ####, I did

I included some 280+ chaos categories, and I included nearly 4,200 trivia questions (covering pretty much every subject). I can add more of either in a matter of seconds, so all you have to do is send me a question and the correct answers (trivia) or a category and a list of answers (chaos), and I can have it added in no time.

So far word_games has been hot with people playing.

Just thought some of you might be interested. Cryptid is up to version 1.20c. This means some nice new changes to the code.

Cryptid now keeps a ranking list of winners, and how many games they have won. I keep a separate ranking list for each of the two games. I plan on, eventually, posting the ranking list on MUD Planet, in a special section.

I've also updated the help section to provide more help for people new to the games.

In any case, I'm going to be adding some new MUD related questions soon (some of those courtesy of Ntanel and some courtesy of Samson).

You are all welcome to join in and play along.
