This is a discussion on "Update solution for java software" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum : A little bit off-topic but maybe relevant to some people. A small part of my exam thesis included writing an update solution for java software. For this i wrote a small API that can be integrated into any java application and allows it to automatically update itself from a webserver when it is started to keep up2date. (There are some advantages over using java web start for example). The API is free to use and available at http://patchupdate.mythicscape.com including install instructions and tutorials. Feel free to use it and please submit any bugs and other errors ... |

It is only for Window platforms or can it be used on any platform that in Java bound?
