So which of the above do you think was worthy of their artist's brush? Or are there any others you prefer?

Mai Shiranui is probably the most revered fighting game girl of all time. She's spawned a veritable industry in paraphenalia in Japan. I've even got a Mai figurine sitting on the shelf next to my Rei and Kenshin figures =). I suspect that if Satoshi Urushihara had designed Chun Li a few years later than he originally had, that she'd take the top spot given Urushihara's fall to the dark side of hentai in recent years ;).

The only other girl I've seen share Mai's success is Kasumi from Dead or Alive. I guess there's just something about that blue outfit they both wear =).

You know, I had never even known who Mai was until I
cracked open my Capcon/ SNK 2 for my PS2 and started
darting through the characters.

Save Samurai Shodown, I had almost sworn by Capcom in
the 2d fighter industry.

Upon seeing her, I was tickled and decided this was the
character to master. Though I still pull out Dan every once
in awhile.

*thinks about his obsession with Kasumi from DoA* Verrrrrrry
good point Yui, very good point. Hmmm.

Though I'm still not buying an XBox for Dead or Alive Extreme
Beach Volleyball. Well.... probably not. Hopefully?

As for Nakoururu from Samurai? As I appreciate my fav series
having a mention, probably Saya or Mikoto from the later and
not-so-great games would've proved "hotter".

Wow.

Rose is originally from the SF Alpha series, I believe. She is a
gypsy or something with the mission to show Bison the error
of his ways. Fireballs and a few defensive moves made her a
fairly formidible opponent when played correctly.

Though personally, I prefer to Jun and Juli to Cami.

I feel obligated to put in a vote for Sarah Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series. Those have got to be the sexiest pair of legs ever to grace the digital realm.
