This is a discussion on "Knock off sites" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum : I usually just type in the address of the site I want to go to. Just now I typed in www.topmudsite.com, and 'lo and behold I found a knock off site. At frist I thought only porno sites do that to attract more customers. Anywoo, any of you ever found this site. It's basically another top 20. But it only has about 14 games to fill up the chart.... |

The idea of doing a 'top list' isn't exactly new... Synozeer wasn't the first to create a 'top list' and I highly doubt he'll be the last. TMS is currently the most well-known and the most visited top MUD site, AFAIK, but I've seen several others... hell, in its own way The MUD Connector (with their stats information) is a top MUD site.
Basically, it's highly pointless to be angry about the idea... and, as far as I know, unless the other site rips off this one (which as anyone who goes to it will see, they didn't), there isn't much to be done other than to compete with it. |

Orion is right, not worth the hassle. Before TMS was TMJ's old list and there was probabally another before TMJ.
