This is a discussion on "Feeling Creative?" in the Top Mud Sites Tavern of the Blue Hand forum : Feeling creative? I am about to finish off a Bladesinger class, and four of the skills they get are "perform" skills. These are poem, dance, story, and acrobatics. However, my poor limited imagination has melted away from writing the lyrics to the songs, and I'm having trouble coming up with stuff for the perform skills. So, if anyones felling particularly effervescent on the old imagination front, why not help me out? Feeling creative?
I am about to finish off a Bladesinger class, and four of the skills they get are "perform" skills. These are poem, dance, story, and acrobatics. However, my poor limited imagination has melted away from writing the lyrics to the songs, and I'm having trouble coming up with stuff for the perform skills. What I'm looking for is a poem, story, acrobatic routine, or dance that would be between 4-8 lines long. If anyone kindly decides to help me out, please post in a similar format to the one below: 1st LINE SUCCESS Harken now to the Poem of Testing! 1st LINE FAILURE Oops! You've forgotten the first line! 2nd LINE SUCCESS A crappier poem was never heard! 2nd LINE FAILURE Oops! You've forgotten the second line! 3rd LINE SUCCESS But this poem was only meant as a test, 3rd LINE FAILURE Oops! The third line has slipped your mind! 4th LINE SUCCESS It should only be about average at best! 4th LINE FAILURE Nuts! The fourth line of the poem just slipped your mind. The perform code checks each line against the performers skill to see whether they pull it off or not, and the amount they receive for performing the story/dance/acrobatics/poem increases with every successful line, with a bonus if they all go off right. Stories could be actually 8 line short stories (pretty hard I know) or just simple descriptions like: You feel yourself soaring over mountains as Xerihae describes them eloquently. You boo loudly as Xerihae details the entrance of the main villain! Anyone who wishes to contribute will be entered in the helpfile "help perform credits" with their name, which story/poem/acrobatics/dance they contributed, and if you wish your own MUD's address or your email. Of course you can tell me to go do it myself, and no doubt I will eventually, but I thought I'd see what kind of response this would get. |
