While I haven't gotten around to reading the story yet, this method of pulbication is actually what interests me most. (I WILL get around to reading it because I love good stories.)

Do you know why your friend decided on publishing his book on the web for free rather than trying to get it published in print? I find this type of publication to be fascinating, and it's quite a growing trend.

Dan is actually a published author already - he wrote the Alex Unlimited series, authored numerous comics, and has done segments for some World of Warcraft manga.

He has an introduction explaining the genesis of the Redeemer's Law project at The "REDEEMER'S LAW" Project: INTRODUCTION

Very, very interesting. He does plan to try to get this published in paper form at some point then.

Yep! He's using this as an online experiment to perform revisions and get feedback as he goes.
