Nice poll - I've made a post on my forums asking my players to vote as well. Some muds also collect data about client usage, and the results can be quite interesting, eg:

God Wars II: client usage based on unique IP addresses, counting characters that have logged on in the last month, and played at least 3 hours.

Aardwolf: client usage of characters currently online, taken 13th April 2010.

Anyone got the client usage stats for any other muds?
