| Note: Mudgik 2 is the reconstruction of one of the most popular muds ever created, at its end in 1999 the players banded together to start this creation... we are still a long way from finished but would love to have you come and see what we have done! In Adarkis there are many different races and societies which are in a constant tug of war to gain control as the dominant culture. Mudgik concentrates on the Southern continent as it's play area. The southern continent had a prosperous civilisation which started spreading to the north. For thousands of years the main capitol held control of it's northern most cities from far down south. Cities such as Kendos and Escandou were established as major trade routes which served to distribute the vast wealth in ore that was being extracted from the great salt wastes. About 200 hundred years ago things changed, contact was established with another great civilisation. This civilisation took the form of a great Empire which had been prospering at the same time in the Northern continent. The huge ships swept the seas and invaded the coasts of the southern kingdoms taking all the wealth and sweeping down the continent like wildfire. At the head of this army was a renowned hero called Nanpantan. Eventually after conquering the two major cities to the north which held control over the ore, the Empire held its ground and stopped the onslaught. The Kingdoms of the south replied by sending huge armies and a great war ensued. After many years of battle, neither force had enough resources or the means to finance a war so far away from there capitol so an eerie peace followed. Natural frontiers like the Blue ridge mountains declared the divide between the two kingdoms which only a small pass defied. This pass went by the name of Tomalfalfa after the hero who had helped defend the pass. |
