As far as contacting Adam himself, I will say two things. The first is that I don't think Matt has earned himself being removed as a moderator - I believe this thread should serve as a warning to him to be more unbias and less self-serving in future moderation. If more events stockpiled, then I would probably take more direct measures, by emailing Adam.

Secondly, though - there is the tree of thought that believes that Matt and Adam are working too closely (tied together via the almighty dollar) for Adam to really potentially risk losing advertising money over removing Matt as a moderator. This is more of a nagging (fear? concern?) thought in the back of my mind, though, and if Matt had proven himself with multiple poor moderating choices - I would write that email myself, yes.

To answer Midievia's defense of him.
