John, can you tell us how you are able to gain access to these gmail invites? Do you work for google?

I believe - though I'm not sure, that once you are a member of the gmail system you can "invite" others to be members as well.

John is probably just simply a member. There are a few "online communities" that work this way, which is why I'm guessing it's the same situation.
