Ouch, having done many sys admin jobs in the past, you have my sympathy. Any idea on how long it'll be? Rough ETA is fine: few hours, half a day, more than a day, etc.

Update.

A major storm took out power for over 100,000 homes and businesses in our Main Server Location. Some of our servers are up but our game server is not yet. It should be repaired and up today.

Update:

The city wide power outtage is over. The server, game, and website are all back and running.

power cuts are never nice,

just hope my net connection becomes useible agian soon!
(got massive lag at the moment, a ping of 2000 odd might have somthing to do with that)

I know alot of you have been checking here for updates on the tropical storm that knocked out New Worlds server. Everythings up and running again and we're sorry for the inconvience.

Our Main Server had some issues today and has gone down. We are currently working on an upgrade to the system and a fix.

I hope to have the server back up tonight. We will notify you when it is back up or if the delay will be longer.
