Good day everyone!

My name is Zelig and I am the creator and developer behind The Worlds of Katarra ().

I have been working on this text-based, browser-based game for roughly 3 years, releasing it to the public this past April. If you have a few moments, come check it out. It's an ever expanding world with new features being added frequently as well as new races, classes, rooms, etc.

Just wondering, is there any way to connect to your MUD using traditional telnet (read: TinyFugue)? My browser is my browser is my browser and not some kind of game client :-)

I don't believe you can connect via telnet to Katarra.

I've never tried... but it is a browser based (mySQL / php) created game.

See, the browser thing is one of the game's main draws, for me - I can connect from any browser, from anywhere at all and I don't have to download clients or anything, just log in from the website and I'm good to go. (Hiya Zelly~)

IME, it takes a tiny bit of getting used to as a format if you're used to telnet games with stacks of emote code and stuff, as it's a lot more free-form for rp. But I like that too, so it's all good and I'm so far quite enjoying myself. :)
