Avendar - Public Release
 

Avendar: the Crucible of Legends, a ROM-based RP/PK MUD, opened in January 1998, and ran continuously through August 2015, when our server imploded. :)

We've decided to publicly release the source code, area files, and other documentation. With 18 years of development, the code is highly customized and extended, with some impressive building tools--particularly a very robust prog system.

Anyone interested in running an Avendar MUD can find the (~140MB) release package here, which should contain all the pieces needed to resurrect the game:
