heh, first thing that came to mind when I saw that was a term we used for clan weapons on an old mud of mine, we called them:
Stupid Dissolving Blunt Objects
we played with colors and other key words but that reminds me so much of when a mob would disarm us and poof the weapon went byebye.
eh, you need a word...
'dissolving' should do the trick.
