Nightfall is running on LDMud 3.3 with a custom, modern mudlib making it easy to create complex interactions between the rooms, NPCs, items and players. Additionally, you will find plenty of examples in the already existing 1.5 million lines of code.

While you might be put off by the fact that you have to play first in order to engage in building new areas, this ensures that you have a good understanding of how the game works
