Re: Wanting to start with the basics
Like others here, I'm a deep proponent of TDD and agile development. That said, given that our field is populated exclusively by enthusiasts, and given that the OP clearly enjoys planning very much, maybe we should adjust our views on what constitutes a 'failed project' that 'goes nowhere'. So what if someone spends months planning and never reaches the doing stage? If they get some enjoyment and edification out of it, then maybe the project should be considered a success.
I mean, does the world really need another functional MUD?
