ok, now im confused.
can anyone tell me plz what im doing wrong ?? i copied the template for new object into wordpad, changed names, vnum, obj type , etc. then imported it into mud, the weapon is working well, immortal can wield it, kill mobs etc, but i cant give it to non-immortal players. did installarea - didnt helped. same with all other armor and stuff. any ideas, what is wrong ? yeh,and on id,the stuff has all the stats ok, but somehow it shows that item can be wielded, worn on body, finger and all the other slots . but im sure wearloc is set ok for it, checked 3 times, plus mob wears it and imm wears it... |

![]() While it'd be helpful to know what happens when you try to use the item with a non-immortal, try cleaning up those wearlocs (something to the effect of "oset <vnum> wear take wield"). If it's a standard weapon, remove any wearlocs aside from those two. I also assume you've checked the level as well.

Items with the "prototype" flag cannot be given to mortals.
The prototype flag marks an object as a "prototype only", and modification to this object affects the base "index object" of which all copies of that object are based on. When you are done editing the object, you need to remove the prototype flag. (Note: this is done automatically when using the "installarea" command). |
