Out of curiosity, have you tried contacting anyone from Whedon's team? I'm not very familiar with the show (heard good things, though), but it enjoys a lot of 'Net-based popularity. There are two good reasons to try to contact them:
1) Make sure they aren't opposed to the project. You really don't want to put months of work into this and get hit with a cease and desist letter for whatever reason. 2) See if you could get some form of endorsement or other support worked out, once you have enough of a finished product to show to people. Even a passing mention from staff on an official website or whatever could send a lot of fan traffic your way. Take advantage of the show's existing popularity. |
