Trying to find a good MUD client.
I have a 2-3 year old iMac and I'm trying to find a MUD client that isn't overly complicated, but still free.

When it comes to a decent free client TinTin++ and Mudlet are your options for Mac OS X. Mudlet will be easier to switch to for Mushclient users, and TinTin++ will be easier to switch to for those who've used a derived client, like zMud.

None of them support MXP very well. Mudlet's supposed to, but I've seen no signs of it.

Re: Trying to find a good MUD client.
The latest RC of mudlet 2 is supposed to support mxp but the only player I have that tried it had to go back to the old version as the MXP was screwing everything up.
Have you tried Zmud or Mushclient on wine? The last zmud version is free and supports mxp, and mushclient is free as well and supports it very well. |

Re: Trying to find a good MUD client.
I tried to set Mushclient up with a Wineskin wrapper last night, but I woke up this morning and it was still processing. I think part of the problem is that the Mushclient download is an installer and not just the Mushclient binary itself. I'll give zMud a try.

Re: Trying to find a good MUD client.
I've currently got using MXP in Mudlet - no reported problems so far.
Another option for Mac OS X is Atlantis, although its MXP support isn't finished yet. |

Ok, working off Mudlet right now. Trying to figure out how the hell to set alias's.... I swear, sometimes you have to be half programmer for this.
