As the title implies, I'm looking for a MUD that will work as a replacement for Dragon Realms. It would have to be free of charge and at least RP encouraged, preferably RP enforced.

Any suggestions?

You could try Inferno. One of the admins came from DR, so some of the systems might feel a little familiar to you (even though it's a completely different code-base).

It's RP-enforced, but not what's usually referred to on this forum as an RPI. It's a nice half-way point between DR and a hard-core RPI, and it's currently free (with a charge only if you decided to join a coded clan/guild, which isn't necessary in order to enjoy the game).

Or you could just take the plunge into an RPI.

Shadows of Isildur, Harshlands, and Armaggeddon are all good muds that are all free (and as in free I know SoI and HL are completely free, no money to join guilds, play or any other sort of monetary rewards and I'm pretty sure Arm is the same).
