The year is 3003.

Although faster-than-light travel, nanotechnology, cloning and other scientific marvels abound, some things don't change.

In a galaxy of scattered alien worlds, political and military conflicts overshadow the astounding potential for enlightenment.

The Orion Arm Treaty Organization, led chiefly by the planet Sivad, has declared war against King Colin Neidermeyer's Solar Consortium, which controls a decimated Earth, a liberated Luna, and a restored terraformed Mars. The conflict erupted over the Maltarian Empire's refusal to abandon its foothold in Sol System, on Ganymede.

The opposing forces are gearing up for a full-fledged interstellar war, which threatens to spread beyond just local aggression.

And, meanwhile, a mysterious flu-like illness has begun to spread throughout the known worlds.
