Are you tired of stomping through Moria and battling orcs? Do you get
sick of combat that's so mundane and uncustomizable that you may as
well be playing Diablo? Well, I'd like to introduce you to a game
called The Eternal City.

The Eternal City is a roleplay enforced game which takes place in a
fictional Rome-like city called Iridine. Its culture, history, and
social structure mimic that of Rome as well. Unlike other roleplay
intensive games, The Eternal City does have a global channel, though
it is not OOC in nature. It's called the think-net, and not only is
it kept IC, the conversation is normally of extreme importance to the
gameworld.

There is alot of things you can be a gladiator fighting in the Colisseum or
a Thief trying to earn a coin here or there or Gang member bruting the
unwanted on your turf or perhaps a priest maybe a Legion Soldier of the
countrys military. This is just a few things TEC has to offer there countless
others you can get lost into.

Combat in The Eternal City is like no other game, very advanced. You
controll what moves you do, not like other muds where you just type "kill mob".
Very fun and can get pretty strategic with PVP combat. There are no two
players the same in TEC, There are numerous combat skills you can
choose such as you can wield the gladius,spear,knives,staves,whips,axes,
twohanded axes, cestus Pankration,and brawling.

If your not into combat there is also numerous Non combat skills you can
be skilled in Outdoors/hunting lore which means you go out and trap animals
and skin them, hunt animals which normally are harder to hunt without knowing
the skillset. You can be a healer and tend the wounded or Locksmith or perhaps
a Tailor. Maybe you want to be a shady person and try out the Thievery skillsets
and sneak around Unnoticed and steal things from PC's or Npc's.

The Eternal City Is probably the most advanced mud out there. There is no other game
that compares this mud. So please come out and try TEC out you will enjoy the emmence
roleplay and storylines TEC has to offer.

Couple of new skillsets about to be introduced to the game leather making which you create leather armor and such and Herbalism. Leather making is currently being beta tested to the premium account holders of the game.

I have played this game for years... there isn't another one like it. If you want a TRUELY unique experience that will keep you coming back for more, this is your game. The combat system is the best I have encountered in ANY game of any type I have ever played, that the RP is great. The staff provides regular events, both scheduled and not, and are working on further expanding the number of skills and items available in the game. So the game is great, and on its way to getting even better. If you love RP, and need a break from the normal cookie cutter MUD experience, stop in. You won't regret it one bit.
