Smile Graphical MUD Client for iPhone

Hi Guys,

I wanted to present a project I've been working on for almost a year, which is now in the iTunes AppStore. It's an advanced graphical client connecting to an open CircleMUD server. The UI is built around a Cover-Flow concept and I already have players that can hold their own against telnet users. Initial response from players is very positive, provided that they take the time to learn the ropes (as in any MUD, the learning curve is steep).

Comments and feedback appreciated.

Since I don't have an iphone (I use blackberry), would this client be able to connect to any mud or is it defaulted to a specific?

Hi,

The graphical client Bedlam is designed specifically for one MUD and specifically for the iPhone/iPod. The goal was to make this as easy to get into and play as a MUD is ever likely to be. Countless hours were spent fine-tuning the app to the game world.

Mudmaster is a text-based app that can connect to any MUD.

Thanks for the thumbs up -- appreciated.

A MUD player who happens to have an iPhone is most likely to get into Bedlam. Even after all the work on visualizing things, next to all other MMO's in the AppStore, it's basically brain surgery.

That said, I hope that with this project I can show that MUD's have a place in the mobile world. And also, that the MUD experience is still top-notch in terms of richness and immersion.
