Deimos: Rebirth of Chaos (The next great MUD)
Deimos: Rebirth of Chaos is a new CircleMUD that has a code base that has been developed for 3 years so far and that is currently undergoing a code base version update and many overhauls. Our coding plans currently consist as follows: Before we open we will feature unique object creation, factions in the world that dynamically battle one another for control of territory, NPC Jails, Realistic object code/ carrying code.
We are currently trying to build the numbers of our already dedicated staff who shares our vision of creating a truly great MUD that has a player base of at least 100 players. We will accomplish this goal by relying on our already large dedicated staff, and our Gothic theme, that is both unique and at the same time grounded in classic MUD doctrine of how a medieval theme should be laid out.
Our theme builds out of the theme of the previous Deimos MUD. The gods of Deimos one got out of hand and caused a second bringing of chaos in which the Demonic God: Deimos took control of much of the world. From the ruins of past civilization factions slowly emerged and began to coalesce as some technology of old was discovered anew. The world still stands as a shadow of previous civilization but three nations have emerged, each with different ideologies, to battle for the land known only as Deimos. Which faction will succeed and at what cost, are questions that have yet to be answered as the next chapter of Deimos History unfolds. With this theme we hope to create both an open ended environment and one that allows us to involve players in a rich RP environment while still incorporating some of the aspects of hack and slash. Our administration staff is very reliable and experienced. We have 4 coders which will help solve problems and advance our visions from the coding aspect fairly quickly, as well as provide support on any commands/code issues. We have 3 Administrators who all have at least 3 years of experience in their field, and one has owned a MUD of his own. In short we are not a staff of young kids who don't know anything about starting a new MUD, and have a stock code base.
Administrator of Building
We are currently looking to replace our previous Administrator of building because he has had real life issues that make it so he cannot continue to put in the time to be head builder. We are looking for someone who can spend at least 3 hours a day on and has previous experience with building quality rooms as well as previous experience in a head builder position. In the building administrator position, you will have control of what the landscape of the realm will look like, and work heavily with the Role Playing staff members to decide how the terrain best fits with the theme. You will have control of hiring, firing and all the administrative details of your building staff. You will also have the ability to hire head builders who work under you. People applying to this position must have people skills and be able to compromise with others and treat them fairly as well has have a very strong grasp on the English language specifically grammar and spelling. He/she must also be an extremely dedicated person who holds no other immortal positions and has a great desire to make Deimos his/her home and to make it a great place.
