That other 'favourite' poll looked lonely, so I put a race one in too. If there's a race I haven't mentioned, go ahead and put it.
Again, this is horribly generalised- the MUD you play might not include any of these, or it might include thousands of others- but i can only put 10 options. What's a guy to do?

Call me boring but for some reason each time I create a new char on a mud I've never played I usualy
pick a Human.  Most of the time he's a Thief of some sorts also.  Once I get to know the mud a bit more
I might play a different race, but I usualy stick with just Human.

Well..usually I'll check out the MU*'s homepage first to see what races they offer, but usually I'll play a variety of races depending on the MU*'s theme, RP enforcement, etc..I usually try to stick to half-elves but also go the route of -
humans
drow
half-orc/orc
half-ogre
feline/canine
and maybe (like once in a while) Demon.

Pretty much the ones that you can have some latitude with Rp wise if need be BUT also generally dont have astronomically high CPs..

I play human because that is basically all you can be if you want to be a "good" player on my mud. all the other races are "evil" except one which is a hard to RP thing.

I like feline races, as well as elves and trolls. One mud i played on for a while had a neat race, a half-lion half-human centaur-like creature

On most MUDs, I usually pick an elven-type race, but I also like feline and avian types.
