| Amongst the pleasant farmlands of the Western territories and the quaint villages scattered about the land of Amnaria lurks an evil. In a time when deities no longer have a part in the affairs of men, by the edict of Cofidas in the year 100, wars break out all over the world. The undead rise to attack cities and villages; kingdoms arise only to be conquered. The Time of Wonder when technology and magic flourished, is no more. Bards no longer travel the land and great champion warriors no longer embark on quests for glory in the eyes of the gods. Instead, men are slain in the street.
