A world torn by strife and assailed by darkness... A kingdom cut from the wilderness and forged on the anvil of war... Perched precariously upon the brink of oblivion or glory... Who will tilt the balance? In the southern forest of Gormengil, the drow are reunited beneath a vampire king. Thirsting for vengeance over lands reclaimed from them by Grand Druid Round and settled by the wood-elves and folk of the Ygwynean Forest, they harry the borders, growing bolder with each passing day. In the harsh but mineral-rich mountains of the north, the border lords face the might of the denizens of Yrskalion, the Goblin Tower. Lured by untold riches of the Silver Lords, the Orcish warbands from the length and breadth of the Crolian mountains rally beneath the banner of the Firvulag horde. In the west, the city of Crimson stands in palatial splendour, protected by The Knights of the Crimson Rose, its traditional defenders. But evil lurks within, sowing seeds of death and corruption and rotting the heart of the rose, until its thorns drip with deadly poison. The fate of a kingdom and the destiny of a people hang in the balance. It is a time where they may be settled either at the hands of the brave, or seized by the quick and ruthless. A growing evil encroaches upon the land, guided by a sinister hand... Who will defy it? Who will embrace it? Are you prepared for the challenge? |
