| [Alpha] Learn what it means to live aboard the titular Sun Mobius, a planet sized alchemic weapon. What mark will you, a young graduate of the Reaper's Academy, make in this tumultuous era. Absolutely age 18+ only. Gameplay Class-less and level-less, character advancement is almost exclusively accomplished with items. A simple three-stat system represents vital state as % damage to Body, Mind, and Spirit. A perpetually growing collection of races offer the means to access unique perks and abilities. Races are unlocked via player effort, and the more difficult to acquire, the more powerful or unique the race. Player develop is not intended to be limited. Theme Mobius is set in a multi-planar world with consistent physics, distinct from our own. The vast majority of activity takes place on or near the Sun Mobius. Reapers, divine-like entities, play a very active role in the story. Players are developing reapers, newly formed in the aftermath of a titanic conflict. Mobius is absolutely intended for adults only. In addition to themes of violence and death present in many multi-player games, this game also has open sexual content. Any players found to be underage or unwilling/unable to verify their age will be locked until such issues are resolved. Technical Azoth v4, the engine written for Mobius, is coded almost exclusively in luajit. It makes use of luasocket for communications and an undisclosed crypto module for sensitive information storage. Monetary Mobius is free to play, with a pay-for-perks model. No major content (races, areas, abilities, etc) will be restricted for free players, and pay-to-win is intended to be impossible. Current development state Mobius is in Alpha. The core systems are functional and usable as of May 1, 2014: further systems development is now happening alongside content creation. Alpha will end when content has reached an acceptable level and has been properly tested. Players participating in the alpha test will receive a unique description prop, the primordial script.
