Rock: Crashed Plane - MUD Description | |
Running on an entirely unique code base, Rock: Crashed Plane offers a welcomed diversion to the host of Circle and Diku MUDs out there. The game is based in a world where planar travel is possible, creating a vast network of environments to play in. Five advanced races war against each other, striving to gain control of mighty monoliths of power, which promise planar supremacy to those mighty enough to claim them all. Unlike most MUDs, Rock aims to balance the playing field by using a real-time turn-based system. Players are given a certain amount of turns to use each day, allowing those with less free time to compete with the temporally-inclined. Players use their turns to gather equipment, improve their abilities and learn new skills. Each race works as a team in an attempt to gain control of the monoliths, and ultimately win the game. Once all monoliths have been captured and secured by one race, the game ends with the winners receiving in-game benefits. A new game begins shortly after, providing players with a new chance to rule supreme. |
